3.1. Policies

3.1.1. Education Policy

In our institution, course information packages are published on the website within the scope of the ECTS (workload-based credit values) Bologna process. The content of the information package includes weekly course study topics, estimated workloads, course codes and credit amounts. In the execution of the courses in the program, project studies, seminar notes, research projects and similar improvements are included in accordance with the curriculum. In addition, it is planned that students will take an active role in the execution of the program by ensuring that the student representative participates in the boards.

3.2. Emissions

All documents and papers regarding course programs and course learning outcomes are shared with all staff via the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS).

3.2.1. Awareness

3.3. Competencies

In our department, faculty members and teaching staff are encouraged to be sent to national and international academic meetings and activities to improve their education quality and application competencies, thus ensuring their self-development. 3.4. Workloads

The workload calculations of all elective and compulsory courses included in the curriculum are specified in the information packages within the scope of the Bologna process. The curriculum of Tourism Management undergraduate program is shared in the link below.

3.5. Student Participation

There is no defined process for student participation in educational plans. It is planned to conduct surveys at the end of the term to reflect student satisfaction with courses.

3.6. International Mobility

Erasmus agreement processes for students abroad are being continued. There are agreements with tourism businesses in Italy within the scope of Erasmus Student Mobility and with tourism businesses in Spain within the scope of Erasmus Internship Mobility. (http://w3.bilecik.edu.tr/erasmus/)

3.7. Experimentation

There is a 60-day compulsory internship in our program. Students complete compulsory internship according to the conditions specified in the Internship Directive. (http://w3.bilecik.edu.tr/uygulamalibilimler/ogrenci/staj/)

Internship Guidelines

3.7.1. Processes

The internship period is 30 days + 30 days or 60 days at once. Students do their internships on the dates planned with an internship calendar determined by the department. Students have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge within duration of internship.

3.7.2. Stakeholder Assurances

Students declare tourism businesses that comply with the Internship Directive to the Internship Committee. Students complete their internship in businesses approved by the Internship Committee. Since students determine their own internship locations, needs such as food and beverage, accommodation, transportation, social facilities, etc. are agreed between the business management and the student.

3.8. Elective Courses

3.8.1. Interdisciplinary Elective Courses

Within the scope of our program,  there are elective courses in each academic semester that provide student the opportunity to get to know different disciplines for professional and cultural depth. Bologna Page Course Plan

3.9. Management of Elective Courses

Course schedule and course selection procedures are defined and carried out through the Student Information System (OBS).

3.9.1. Elective Course Applications

More courses are opened to students than the courses they are required to choose. Students can choose the courses they want by contacting their advisors.

3.10. Student Advisors

Advisors are assigned to students during registration periods. The advisor monitors students and helps them solve problems related to their education, training and university life. The student's registration renewal, course addition and deletion procedures are carried out with the approval of the advisor within the framework of this regulation.

3.10.1. Events

Technical trips and sector meetings are organized by Tourism Management Undergraduate Program. Advisors guide students in participating in these events.

3.10.2. Evaluation

There is no study on the evaluation of student counseling.

3.10.3. Success Measurements

Success measurement and evaluation methods are; midterm exam, homework, practice, final exam and compulsory internship. These methods are designed to measure whether the gains expressed in the targeted course learning outcomes are achieved and to what extent. 3.10.4. Announcement

The adequacy of the conditions for taking a course, passing a course, completing a course, adapting to it, and graduation, and  related warnings (lack of credit) are provided in the Student Information System (OBS). These kinf of information are presented to students on the course selection screen and with the academic form.

3.10.5. Assurance

The necessary conditions to ensure accurate, fair and consistent evaluation are determined within the framework of Bilecik Seyh Edebali University Associate Degree Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation, Bilecik Seyh Edebali University Undergraduate Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation, and Internship Directive.

3.11. Graduation Requirements

3.12 Output Measurements

The measurement methods for our students' program and course learning outcomes are determined within the framework of Bilecik Seyh Edebali University Associate Degree Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation and Internship Directive .

3.13. Success Evaluation Method (SEM)

According to specified regulations by the department, degree of  graduation such as the first, the second and the third placed students of the program are determined regarding their grade points averages. In addition, informative meetings about Success Evaluation Methos are planned to be held.

3.14. Student Rights

The clear regulations covering  students’ absence or occurrence of legitimate and valid reasons preventing students from taking the exam are regulated in the "Bilecik University Undergraduate Education-Training Regulation". Students are required to attend classes, practices and exams. Regardless of their excuses, class attendance requirement is at least 70% in theoretical courses. Students who cannot meet the attendance requirements are not allowed to take the end-of-term exam and are given a grade of Non-Attending (DZ). The students' attendance status is monitored and evaluated by the relevant faculty member. In repeated theoretical and practical courses, if student is met the requirement in the previous term, the relevant board of department decides whether or not attendance will be required, provided that he/she takes the midterm exams.

Students with a valid health report are given the right to take a make-up exam for the midterm exams that they missed. No excuses are given for the end of the semester and make-up exams. The periods assigned by students who are assigned to participate in various academic, social, cultural and sports activities by our institution or other state institutions are excluded from the attendance requirement and are given the right to take a make-up exam for the exams that they missed. The health report is not counted as attendance. It is only used to grant the right to take a make-up exam. A second make-up exam is not given for make-up exams. Students must notify the head of department by declaring their excuses in writing within five business days following the exam date. Make-up exams are not given for any exams other than midterm exams. Students who take exams held on the days they are excused are not given a make-up exam again. Students whose exams overlap on the same day and time are given the right to take a make-up exam for the exams that they missed. Students in this situation are required to apply to the head of department with a petition within five business days.

In addition, students' rights regarding compulsory internship are included in the Internship Directive.

3.15. Student Complaints

Students' complaints are received by the department administration, document archive unit, EBYS system and department of CİMER .

3.15.1. Complaint Resolution Policies

Classifications are made according to the subject of the complaint, actions and procedures are carried out to resolve the complaint.

3.16. Out-of-Field Learning

Our department is planned to organize Career Planning Events, Scientific Workshops and technical trips to ensure the sustainability and participation of our students in scientific, professional, social and cultural activities.
