Single Course Exam

Students who are in the graduation stage and will take the single course exam should fill out the Single Course Application Form on obs, take a print out and submit the wet signed version to the Faculty by the date specified in the current announcements. In order to apply for the said exam, the student must meet the following criteria.
Students who fail a single course
ARTICLE 32 – (1) At the end of the fall semester, spring semester or, in case of opening, at the end of the summer school, in any semester, although all courses fulfill the attendance requirement, a single course in which the grade of FF or YZ is obtained, other than the courses determined by the decision of the administrative board of the academic units, or by the decision of the administrative board of the academic units. Students who can not graduate because they cannot achieve the required grade point average despite getting a passing grade in all the courses other than the specified courses are given the right to take an additional exam for only one course on the dates determined in the academic calendar. However, a student who cannot increase his/her GPA to 2.00 with the grade he/she will get as a result of this exam is not entitled to a single course exam.
(2) Regardless of the students' midterm exam grades, 49 and below are converted into FF in the evaluation of this single course exam, and 50 and above are divided by 25 and converted into the success grade corresponding to the closest coefficient in the 22nd article.
(3) Students whose status is in compliance with the principles specified in the first paragraph apply in writing to the units they are studying at, at the latest five working days before the single course exam date determined in the academic calendar. After examining the status of the students, the relevant unit informs the Registrar's Office which course is entitled to a single course exam. The right to take the exam stipulated in this article is granted to the student once, and students who do not take the exam despite applying cannot benefit from this right again. In case of graduation, students who lack ECTS can request a single course exam to use the failed course from the abolished course.
