Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Applications of our students will be evaluated according to the following application conditions, in accordance with the General Principles of Double Major Education and Training and the main application conditions of the Directive on Transition Between Programs, Double Major and Minor Programs.

-Students can apply to the second major undergraduate diploma program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the fifth semester at the latest.

- Students who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.72 in the Major diploma program at the time of application and who are in the top 20% of the class in the relevant class of the Major diploma program can apply for the second major diploma program. Students who have a GPA of at least 2.72 in the major diploma program, but are not in the top 20% of the class in terms of success in the relevant class of the Major diploma program, and those who have a score not less than the base score of the program in which the Double Major will be made in the relevant year can also apply to the Double Major program. . In order to apply for the Double Major diploma program, the student must successfully complete all the courses taken in the Major diploma program until the semester he/she applies.

General Principles of Double Major and Minor Education and Application Conditions, General Principles of Double Major and Minor Education and Application Conditions Article 8 – (1)
The general principles of double major education and application conditions are as follows.

a) Double major applications are made to the Student Affairs Office of the relevant unit according to the quotas approved by the Senate. The admission of students to the second major diploma program is made with the approval of the relevant unit's board of directors, upon the recommendation of the relevant department where that program is carried out. It is not possible to enroll in more than one second major diploma program at the same time. However, it is possible to enroll in a minor program with a second major diploma at the same time.

b) The student can apply to the second major undergraduate diploma program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester of the major undergraduate diploma program. In the main undergraduate diploma program, the applicant can apply at the beginning of the second semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the third semester at the latest.

c) Students who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.72 in the major diploma program at the time of application and who are in the top 20% of the class in the relevant class of the major diploma program can apply to the second major diploma program. Students who have a grade point average of at least 2.72 in the major diploma program, but are not in the top 20% of the class in terms of success in the relevant class of the major diploma program, and those who have a score not less than the base score of the program in which the double major will be made in the relevant year can also apply to the double major program. In order to apply for the double major diploma program, the student must successfully complete all the courses taken in the major diploma program until the semester he/she applies.

ç) A student who is considered to be on academic leave in the major program he/she is registered with is also considered on academic leave in the second major program.

d) Students who cannot take courses in a double major program due to reasons such as inability to open a course or overlapping courses may be granted one semester of academic leave with the approval of the executive board of the unit to which the double major program is affiliated, and this period cannot be included in the time stipulated for completing the double major program.

e) The education period of students who have the right to graduate from the major diploma program but cannot complete the second major diploma program is the maximum period specified in paragraph (c) of Article 44 of the Law No. These students are given the diplomas of this department at the end of the semester they graduate from their major programs. During the additional period, these students continue to pay the student contribution of the department in which they study double major, taking into account the total number of semesters they spend in the second major program.

f) The courses and credits that the student must take in the double major program are determined with the approval of the Senate upon the recommendation of the relevant departments and faculty boards, taking into account the Higher Education Field Qualifications determined by the Higher Education Council. must be arranged so that

g) If the courses taken in the second major program of the students who are unsuccessful in the double major program are sufficient for the minor program, the students are given a minor certificate. Evaluation of the double major courses accepted as equivalent is made according to the decision of the relevant unit administrative boards. The second major student can benefit from the summer school.

ğ) In order for the student to graduate from the double major program, the GPA must be at least 2.72. In order to be considered successful in the courses taken from the double major second major programs, the student must get at least a letter grade of CC. Grades obtained in double major and second major programs are not taken into account in the calculation of the GPA of the major program. A student whose CGPA is below 2.50 in the major diploma program continues to the program for once. A student whose GPA is below 2.50 for the second time will be deregistered from the second major diploma program.

h) A student who does not take courses from the double major program for two consecutive semesters will be disenrolled from the second major diploma program.

ı) A student who voluntarily cancels his/her registration from the double major program cannot apply to the same program again.

i) The internships of the major and second major programs are carried out within the framework of mutual agreements of the relevant departments.

j) The courses taken by the student studying in the double major second diploma program and whose equivalence are accepted are shown in the transcript.

k) The evaluation of the courses taken in the second major program by the students who have been removed from the double major program is determined by the Senate. The courses in which the student is successful in the second major program that are not accepted in the major program are included in the transcript and diploma supplement, without being included in the GPA.

l) A graduation diploma can be given to a student who continues his/her second major program only if he/she graduates from the first major diploma program he/she has attended.

General Principles of Minor Education and Application Conditions Article 9 – (1)
The general principles of minor education and application conditions are as follows:

a) Minor applications are made to the Student Affairs Office of the relevant unit according to the quotas approved by the Senate. Admission of students to the minor diploma program is made with the approval of the relevant unit administrative board upon the recommendation of the relevant department in which the program is conducted. Students who have successfully completed all the credit courses taken in the undergraduate program until the semester they apply can apply to the minor program. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.50 in the major program at the time of application.

b) Students can apply to the minor program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and at the beginning of the sixth semester at the latest. The student accepted to the minor program must take the courses determined by the Senate and be successful in the courses that are not less than 30 ECTS credits.

c) In order to be considered successful in the courses taken from the minor programs, the student must get a letter grade of at least CC. A student whose CGPA is below 2.30 in the major diploma program is disenrolled from the minor program. Only a certificate of achievement (minor certificate) is issued to the students who have the right to graduate from the major program and complete the minor program with a minimum average of 2.30. These documents do not replace a diploma. The student who cannot meet this requirement will be deregistered from the minor program.

ç) A student who is considered on academic leave from the major program is also considered on academic leave from the minor program. Students who will not be able to take courses in a minor program due to the inability to open the required course or the conflict of courses may be granted an academic leave with the approval of the administrative board of the department giving the minor program and the unit to which the minor program is affiliated.

d) Students who have the right to graduate from the major program, but cannot finish the minor program, are given an additional period of two semesters at the most, with the decision of the relevant administrative boards.

e) A student can enroll in at most one minor program during his/her major education.

f) A student who has the right to graduate from the minor certificate program is not given a certificate of the minor program before graduating from the major program.

g) The courses taken and successful in the minor program, but not counted in the major program, of the student who quit or was dismissed from the minor program are included in the transcript and diploma supplement, without being included in the GPA.

ğ) A student who does not take courses from the minor program for two consecutive semesters will be unenrolled from this program.
