25 October 2025 Saturday

🎓 General Information

Students of the Department of Economics have the opportunity to earn a second diploma or certificate in a different academic field of interest through the Double Major (DMP) and Minor Programs offered by our university. These programs ensure that students receive a versatile education while simultaneously increasing their competitiveness in the labor market.

📘 Double Major Program (DMP / ÇAP)

The Double Major Program is an academic practice that allows students to graduate with two diplomas by pursuing a second undergraduate program in addition to their current one.

Application Requirements:

  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA / GNO) must be at least 2.72.

  • Application semester: Earliest 3rd, latest 5th semester.

  • The student must have successfully completed all courses up to the application semester.

  • The student must be ranked in the top 20% of their class (if not, the approval of the program applied to is required).

  • Applications are accepted within the announced quota.

Academic Obligations:

  • The student must successfully complete the mandatory courses of both departments.

  • A student who fails to register for two consecutive semesters will have their DMP registration canceled.

  • If a student's enrollment in the main (major) program is terminated, their DMP enrollment also ends.

📗 Minor Program

The Minor Program allows students to gain academic knowledge in their field of interest by completing a specific number of courses in another department. A certificate, not a diploma, is awarded upon completion of the Minor Program.

Application Requirements:

  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA / GNO) must be at least 2.50.

  • Application semester: Earliest 3rd, latest 6th semester.

  • All courses must have been successfully completed.

  • Quotas are limited; each department announces its own quota.

Academic Obligations:

  • Minor students must successfully complete the specified compulsory courses and sufficient credits.

  • A student who fails to renew their registration for two consecutive semesters will have their Minor registration canceled.
