History
09 January 2024 TuesdayOur school was established in 1976 under the General Directorate Technical Education for Boys of Ministry of Education and connected to Anadolu University with the Higher Education Law No. 2547 in 1982.
In 1989, our Vocational School added to 2nd Higher Education Council-World Bank Industrial Education Project and had highly equipped laboratories, academic, technical and administrative personnel. Afterwards, our Vocational School's name and was changed from Bilecik Vocational School to Vocational School by Law No. 5662 and our city had its own university in our vocational school's campus: Bilecik University (later changed to Bilecik Seyh Edebali University).
Our Vocational School has; Computer Programming, Metallurgy, Electrical, Electronic Communication Technology, Electronic Technology, Control and Automation Technology, Food Technology, Construction Technology, Chemical Technology, Machinery, Automotive Technology, Landscape and Ornamental Plants, Quality Control in Manufacturing, Electrical Energy Production Transmission and Distribution programs. There are evening school for Computer Programming, Construction and Food Technology programmes.
Technician; who knows and uses the theoretical and technical functions of technology in industry; therefore, it is the intermediate element that forms the bridge between the engineer and the worker. In some small and medium-sized enterprises, the technician may be the highest technical element of the enterprise and undertake leadership and management. Technicians should have a strong theoretical knowledge in the field and the ability to apply this knowledge in the industry.
During the two-year teaching period at the college, an internship is carried out every summer for 30 working days. With the internship, students gain both work experience and have the opportunity to find jobs by communicating with the sector.
