About Us

Our program was established in 2018 under the roof of the Department of Electronics and Automation within our Vocational School. Our program was deemed appropriate to accept students with the decision numbered 28095, dated 18/06/2021, of the Council of Higher Education and took its place in the 2021 preference guide. Our first students started their education in the 2021-2022 Academic Year.

Goals

To train qualified biomedical device technicians who have received theoretical and practical training in the fields needed by the sector.

Objectives

To be a program that trains qualified biomedical device technicians who are familiar with the hardware and software systems of medical devices used in the sector, who can perform maintenance and repair, and who can perform technical monitoring and calibration of the devices.


Qualifications Required for a Biomedical Device Technician

Those who want to become Biomedical Device Technicians are expected to be successful in the field of science, have an interest in tools and machines, be able to use their hands and fingers skillfully, have the ability to perceive mechanical and shape relationships, have healthy vision and hearing, enjoy helping people, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
Those who complete the Biomedical Device Technology Program 
are given the title of "Biomedical Device Technician". Biomedical Device Technician assembles the tools and devices used in medicine and biological sciences in accordance with their schematics, performs continuous maintenance, and repairs them by detecting the location of the malfunction. Biomedical Device Technicians work in public and private hospitals, laboratories, dispensaries, medical device factories, medical device repair and maintenance workshops or services. Therefore, their working environments vary depending on the workplace they work in, but they generally work in contact with doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel.


 What are the Working Areas for Biomedical Device Technology Program Graduates?

They can work in public and private hospitals, laboratories, dispensaries, medical device factories, medical device repair and maintenance workshops or services.
