The results of THE Awards Asia 2024, given by the London-based international rating platform Times Higher Education (THE), were announced on April 29, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, at a ceremony attended by Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah. Rector of our University Prof. Dr. Şükrü Beydemir attended the ceremony.

As a result of the application made by our University to THE Asia Awards, which has been traditionally organized by THE since 2019, with the activities of our Industrial Sustainability Master's Degree Program with Thesis, which is the first and only one in Turkey, our University had succeeded in making it to the finals among 600 universities in the category of “Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership”.

Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, which attaches importance to quality and quality in internationalization, continues to work to improve its cooperation with universities around the world. Rector Beydemir, who went to Malaysia for the award ceremony, held important meetings about possible collaborations with universities in the capital Kuala Lumpur. In this context, as a result of the meetings held with Professor Tan Sri Dato' Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, Rector of Management & Science University, a protocol was signed between the two universities covering many areas such as student and faculty mobility and conducting research projects.
