4th Patent Competition Among Universities applications have started.

The competition  has been organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT), a subsidiary of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, since 2018 in order to raise awareness among university students about patents, which is one of the important tools of global competition, to encourage university students to invent activities and to ensure that they use patent documents in their academic studies or professional professional lives.

The competition, which will be held for the 4th time this year by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TURKPATENT), will allow university students studying in associate, undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs to apply online via the TURKPATENT Electronic Application System - EPATS (epats.turkpatent.gov.tr/) between 1 May - 15 December 2024.

The applications to be submitted to TURKPATENT will be evaluated by a jury and the winners will be rewarded. In this context, the first prize will be awarded 100,000-TL, the second prize will be awarded 80,000-TL, the third prize will be awarded 60,000-TL, the fourth to sixth prize will be awarded 50,000-TL, the seventh to tenth prize will be awarded 40,000-TL and the eleventh to twentieth prize will be awarded 30,000-TL each, totaling 850,000-TL. In addition, prizes will be awarded for participation in national and international invention fairs.
