In-Service Training Conducted in Collaboration with Oxford University Press
17 April 2026 Friday

On Friday, April 17th, an in-service training program titled “Managing and Motivating Learners: Practical Skills in the Classroom” was organized online for the academic staff of the School of Foreign Languages at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, in collaboration with Oxford University Press.

The program, conducted in two sessions, focused on effective strategies for increasing classroom motivation in the first part, while the second session addressed current approaches and application examples related to classroom management.

The training provided participants with comprehensive information on the basic components of classroom management, methods for increasing student participation, and teaching strategies that cater to different learner profiles. Furthermore, the discussion explored how individual differences within the framework of adult learner types can be reflected in classroom practices.

The interactive training allowed academic staff to share their own classroom experiences and develop practical strategies. At the end of the program, participants acquired new methods and techniques that they can directly use in their teaching.

As the School of Foreign Languages, we would like to thank our external partner, Oxford University Press, for their contribution.
