Bilecik University International Relations Office applied to the Directorate for European Union Education and Youth Programs (National Agency) for European Voluntary Service (EVS) accreditation on 18 November 2011.

What is European Voluntary Service (EVS)?

European Voluntary Service EVS, which is the 2nd of the 5 different application areas of the European Union Youth in Action Program and therefore called Action-2, is a voluntary work program for a non-governmental organisation in projects for the benefit of society and with social content.

While working as a volunteer, you do not receive a salary-like remuneration for the work you do. However, you will receive food, accommodation, language training, local transport, insurance, individual care and assistance and a small amount of pocket money. An EVS project allows you to volunteer in an EU country for a short-term (2-8 weeks - only for people with disabilities and underprivileged young people) or long-term (2-12 months).
