An informational programme was held at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University’s School of Foreign Languages to support students in adapting to university life and to raise their awareness of the psychological counselling and guidance services available at the university.
The programme was conducted over a two-week period with the participation of Mustafa Eker, psychological counsellor from the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. As part of the programme, students from seven classes at the School of Foreign Languages had the opportunity to meet with the counsellor.
During the sessions, students were introduced to the psychological counselling and guidance services offered at the university and informed about how and when they could benefit from these services. In addition to the presentations, the sessions provided an interactive environment in which students could ask questions, share their views and exchange ideas.
The sessions, which encouraged active student participation, aimed to contribute to students’ adjustment to university life and increase their awareness of the psychological counselling and guidance services available to them. Feedback collected following the sessions also indicated that students found the meetings beneficial.
The School of Foreign Languages would like to thank Mustafa Eker for the time, dedication and care devoted to the programme, as well as the Department of Health, Culture and Sports for its support and cooperation.
