Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of Student Affairs Unit

  • To carry out all the works that are outside the duties, powers and responsibilities of the Student Affairs Department and are under his/her responsibility in the laws and regulations.
  • To know the graduate, undergraduate and associate degree Education and Examination Regulations and related directives, to follow the changes and to make announcements.
  • To carry out the registration, course registration, student certificate, deferment, transcript, registration freeze, dismissal, transfer, exemption, scholarship, temporary graduation, diploma, etc. of students.
  • To prepare daily and semester correspondence related to student affairs.
  • To prepare the necessary documents for students' transfer procedures and course exemption requests.
  • To make all kinds of correspondence of students enrolled in the unit.
  • To make all kinds of correspondence and procedures related to summer school.
  • To make all kinds of announcements about students.
  • To ensure that the documents related to the students are archived.
  • To determine the 10% of the second education students.
  • To notify the relevant departments and students of the decisions of the Board of Directors of the students who cannot take the exams due to excuse.
  • To organise success rates at the end of each year.
  • To carry out the procedures related to the Student Council and Representation.
  • To make preparatory work on student quotas to be taken to the unit.
  • To announce the lists of students who are absent from the departments before the end of the semester exams.
  • To follow the entry of student information and grades into the automation system.
  • To ask the departments to update the student counsellor lists at the beginning of the academic year, to define the updated list to the system and to follow the counsellor approvals.
  • To send the military service and KYK lists of students who have been deregistered and graduated.
  • To determine the students ranked in the programmes.
  • To carry out double major and minor procedures.
  • To prepare the agendas of the boards and commissions related to the field of duty before the meeting.
  • To carry out midterm, final exam, excuse, single course and additional exam procedures.
  • To archive the documents in accordance with the standard file plan of higher education higher education institutions and higher education institutions.
  • To organise internal and external correspondence in accordance with the ‘Regulation on the Principles and Procedures to be Followed in Official Correspondence’ and ‘Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Signature Powers Directive’.
