Within the scope of the work carried out in collaboration between the Higher Education Council and the Presidency of Defence Industries, it is anticipated that addressing artificial intelligence topics in the defence industry at the undergraduate level as final projects and at the postgraduate level as thesis studies in universities will make significant contributions to meeting the sector's need for qualified human resources. In this context, the ‘Artificial Intelligence Academic Thesis Programme (SAYZEK-ATP)’ has been launched under the coordination of the Higher Education Council and the Presidency of Defence Industries, and
the first applications were received in the 2024-2025 period. ‘SAYZEK-ATP 2025-2026’ will be open for applications on specified topics, and applications will be accepted online at atp.sayzek.org.tr between 11 September and 10 October 2025. Students undertaking a final-year dissertation or thesis project or those in the thesis phase of a master's degree programme may apply. Applications may be submitted individually or in teams of up to three members, and the process will be conducted in collaboration with the students' academic advisors.
