Sustainability is an approach that aims to use existing natural resources to meet today's needs and to minimize environmental damage so that they can be transferred to future generations. This concept is not limited to environmental protection, but also covers economic, social and cultural areas. Sustainability includes many elements such as protecting the environment, ensuring balanced economic growth and increasing social welfare. These can be listed as environmental, economic, industrial and social sustainability. Our university published its first sustainability report in 2021 within the scope of green campus studies, and took important steps towards sustainability with the opening of the Industrial Sustainability Master's Program as of 2022. With the implementation of the AVESİS system at our university as of 2023, the studies carried out at our university for each development goal of the United Nations on sustainability have been classified.
