In many countries around the world, including Türkiye, the healthcare sector is experiencing rapid and continuous change. In addition to this change, the complexity of healthcare systems, the increase in public and private healthcare institutions, and the need for these institutions to be managed with a contemporary management approach have led to a growing demand for professional healthcare managers who are trained in the field of Healthcare Management.
The Department of Healthcare Management, which examines all areas of healthcare from a managerial perspective, aims to ensure the efficient, effective, and quality management of all resources and opportunities that make up the healthcare system, based on the needs of society. It focuses on developing policies and plans in this regard and aims to train healthcare managers who are well-versed in the field, highly qualified, capable of strong communication with both healthcare workers and patients, strategic thinkers, visionary, problem-solvers, and who have embraced ethical and moral values. In addition to professional competence, these managers are equipped with cultural and scientific knowledge, eager and willing to participate in social responsibility activities for the benefit of society, and committed to contributing to scientific, cultural, and social life.
Graduates of the Department of Healthcare Management are awarded the title of "Healthcare Manager" in accordance with the decision of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) Executive Board dated 26.08.1998.

Graduates of the Department of Healthcare Management can find employment in various institutions and organizations within the healthcare sector, particularly in public and private hospitals. They can work in voluntary organizations that address healthcare issues in our country, pharmaceutical companies, businesses involved in the trade of medical devices and supplies, and private health insurance companies. Additionally, our graduates can pursue roles such as inspectors and specialists in public institutions, particularly the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Labor and Social Security. Those aiming for an academic career can continue their studies in master's and doctoral programs.
In our department, we also offer non-technical elective courses such as foreign language, communication skills, problem-solving skills, volunteer work, sign language, teamwork, professional ethics, scientific ethics, protocol and social behavior in the public sector, and career management to support the personal development of our students, help them gain social skills and competencies, and encourage them to become active and productive individuals in all areas of social life.
