Research Summary
Our research centers on developing sustainable and intelligent paradigmatic approaches within medicine, biochemistry, and microbiology, leveraging interdisciplinary vision and knowledge. The scope of our work spans multiple sub-fields of biology and chemistry, including the development and enhancement of smart engineering paradigms with various biological agents, bioactive compounds, large-scale bioanalytical data mining, and machine learning. We focus on the structural, functional, and thermodynamic properties of biological molecules, molecular docking, gene/protein expression, epigenetic processes, and metagenomics/microbiome studies. Additionally, we explore intestinal and oral microbiota, with research dedicated to identifying metabolites from probiotic bacteria and examining the anticancer, antibacterial, and antiviral properties of these postbiotics. Recently, our team has also undertaken clinical studies on the molecular mechanisms underlying neurological (migraine), neurodegenerative (Alzheimer’s Disease), neuromuscular (Myasthenia Gravis), gastrointestinal (colon), cardiovascular, urological, and viral (COVID-19) diseases.
