IELTS, just like TOEFL, is one of the first exams that comes to mind when it comes to international English exams. Again like TOEFL, it consists of 4 stages: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. If you want to apply for this test, you can apply through IDP and the British Council. The test is organized in 12 different cities in Turkey. These provinces are Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, Karabük, Erzurum, Bursa, Gaziantep, Karaman, Mersin and Samsun.
IELTS is also accepted by almost all academic institutions in many countries around the world and is the only English language test accepted by countries that require English proficiency for immigration. Therefore, it is the most popular test for the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
