The Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) was established on 12 July 2016 at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University with the aim of organizing courses to teach Turkish to international students who come to study at our university and to conduct examinations to determine their proficiency levels in Turkish.
The Center will carry out its activities with the academic support of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature and the Department of Turkish Language, which operates under the Rectorate.
In recent years, there has been an observable increase in the number of international students coming to our country for educational purposes. This increase is also reflected in our university. A significant portion of these students do not possess sufficient Turkish language skills to pursue their academic studies. The Center will organize Turkish language courses for these students. In addition, placement tests will be administered for international students who already possess some knowledge of Turkish, and language proficiency certificates will be issued to them.
Furthermore, through necessary agreements, Turkish language courses will also be offered at our Center to international students coming to study at various educational institutions across the country.G
