Research Areas
Research in this laboratory focuses on identifying the genes involved in bacterial resistance mechanisms against various stress conditions, uncovering their functions, and elucidating their regulatory mechanisms. Another key research area is the study of antibiotic resistance mechanisms and the discovery of new molecules for combating infectious diseases.
The studies are conducted using the model organism Escherichia coli and are carried out in collaboration with various scientists in Japan. Additionally, joint research projects are being conducted with institutions in Spain, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
