MISSION

The most dominant department of the faculties of theology and Islamic sciences, which are religious higher education institutions in Türkiye, is Basic Islamic Sciences. The main objective of this department is to carry out undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the academic level in the field of religious sciences in general and Islamic sciences in particular and to train experts in this field. Students who successfully complete the courses in the departments and disciplines, included in this department have the opportunity to find employment in three different fields: Teaching in secondary schools, being a religious officer in various levels of non-formal religious services and being an academician. In addition, our graduates who do not desire to work in the mentioned professional branches or who cannot obtain this opportunity are trained as individuals who can be exemplary and pioneering to the society.

VISION
Since Basic Islamic Sciences is the most prominent department of the faculties of Theology and Islamic Sciences, which are the institutions of higher religious education in our country, our undergraduate students take most of the courses from the departments and sciences within this department. The main purpose of this curriculum distribution/planning is to teach religion/Islam from its main sources and to provide our students with the ability to interpret it in a sound manner within the framework of this information, regardless of whether they will work in public or private institutions and organisations after graduation. Then, to graduate them with both theoretical equipment and practical experience in the implementation and adoption of these in a way away from ifrat or tafrit (fall short in doing one's duty or extremism) and to prepare them for life.
