Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Kuban TORUN, a faculty member of our department, participated in the “Virtual Reality and Innovation in Education Conference” organized by the Ministry of National Education’s Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Technologies (YEĞİTEK) on February 25–26, 2025.

Torun served as a speaker in the first panel titled "Global and Local VR Trends," where she shared her insights and evaluations regarding current developments in virtual reality both globally and locally. At the end of the session, she was presented with a certificate of appreciation by YEĞİTEK Director General Mr. Mustafa Canlı.

The second day of the conference continued with focus group studies and presentations. Torun acted as the moderator for the focus group titled "Data Security and Ethical Issues in the Use of VR in Education," and presented the group’s outcomes during the afternoon session.
