Erasmus Incoming Students – Application & Practical Information

Required Documents

Incoming students must submit the following documents:

• Nomination Letter
  Deadlines: Fall Term – 15 August | Spring Term – 15 December
• Application Form for Incoming Students
  (Signed by the Erasmus Coordinator of the sending institution)
• Learning Agreement
  (Approved and signed by both the Departmental Coordinator and Erasmus Coordinator of the sending institution, or completed and approved via the Online Learning Agreement (OLA))
• Transcript of Records
• One Photograph

Application Deadlines

• Fall Term: 30 August
• Spring Term: 31 December

Submission Procedure

All required documents must first be sent as scanned copies via email to:

Student Visa

A student visa is mandatory for registration in Turkey.

• Students without a student visa cannot register at the university
• A residence permit cannot be obtained without a student visa
• The visa must be obtained from a Turkish Consulate or Embassy before arrival
• It is not possible to obtain a student visa within Turkey

Residence Permit

Students must apply for a residence permit within one month of arrival in Turkey.

Applications are made through the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

✔ It is strongly recommended to book an online appointment on the first day of arrival
✔ Each student must apply individually

⚠️ Please note: Appointment slots are limited. Late applications may cause delays.

Health Insurance

All international students must have valid health insurance in Turkey to obtain a residence permit.

The insurance must cover the entire duration of stay.

Accepted options include:

• Coverage under bilateral social security agreements
• Official documents issued by the Social Security Institution
• Private health insurance

✔ Private insurance policies must include the statement:
“This policy covers the minimum coverage stipulated in the circular no. 9, dated 06.06.2014…”

✔ Students must present the original signed and stamped policy during application

Accommodation

The university does not provide on-campus dormitories for Erasmus students. However, there are many private dormitories and housing options available in Bilecik.
