INTERNSHIP APPLICATION DATES: MAY 1 - JULY 2, 2025
In our Ceramics and Glass Department's undergraduate program, there are two internship periods, each lasting 20 working days (SCT300 Internship I - Industry and SCT400 Internship II - Workshop). Before starting the internship, the internship directive must be read. The internship forms listed below must be submitted to the department research assistants at least 15 days before the start of the internship.
Internship Directive
Steps to be Followed During the Mandatory Internship Process:
- Finding an internship placement: The student applies to the institution where they will do their internship with the Internship Pre-Approval Form and Mandatory Internship Form after their preliminary interview.
- Acceptance: The internship location must be approved by the Department Head. If the student is accepted by the institution/organization/company for the internship, they must submit the approved forms along with the Internship Application Letter Form to the department research assistants for review and approval by the end of the working day of the last Spring Semester Exam.
- Requirements after internship approval: Students who have secured a mandatory internship placement must obtain the "Internship File" published online and prepare it as described in this guide.
Documents to be submitted to the department for mandatory internship application: (15 Days Before)
a. 1 COPY OF ID CARD b. 1 COPY OF SGK PROVISION (ELIGIBILITY) DOCUMENT (To be obtained from e-Government) c. VALID OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY CERTIFICATE FOR INSTITUTION/ORGANIZATION/COMPANY (FACTORY) INTERNSHIP (Can be obtained from relevant institutions) d. INTERNSHIP PRE-APPROVAL FORM (Mentioned in Item 1) e. 2 ORIGINAL COPIES OF MANDATORY INTERNSHIP FORM APPROVED BY INSTITUTION/ORGANIZATION/COMPANY, STUDENT, AND INTERNSHIP COMMISSION (Mentioned in Item 1) f. INTERNSHIP APPLICATION LETTER FORM (Mentioned in Item 2) g. INTERNSHIP WAGE INFORMATION FORM (Not required for unpaid internships. Students receiving payment during internship must submit the Internship Workplace Payment document with bank receipt to the Dean's Office Accrual Unit after completion. - Internship File: Must be prepared digitally according to the Internship Writing Template. Handwritten files will not be accepted. a. Outer Cover (Must be prepared with a transparent material showing the inner cover with a spine) b. Inner Cover (All information must be filled in completely) c. Approval Page (Must be stamped, signed, and include photo) d. Contents Page (Must be stamped and signed) e. Each page of the internship diary must be signed by the Intern and Internship Supervisor f. Internship Evaluation Report on the last page of the Writing Template (To be filled by Department Internship Commission)
- Documents to be submitted after internship completion: The Internship Success Certificate Form filled, stamped, and wet-signed by the institution supervisor must be given to the student in a sealed envelope. The envelope must be submitted unopened to department research assistants.
- Company Opinion Survey must be filled by internship supervisors and submitted to research assistants along with the Internship File.
Important Points for Internship Students
- Internship applications begin each year in May and continue until the end of the working day of the last Spring Semester Exam as specified in that year's academic calendar.
- Internship file submissions, along with the Company Opinion Survey, must be made during the Fall Semester Registration Renewal and Add-Drop week period.
- Internships cannot be done during Course Periods, Final Exams, and Make-up Exams
- Only students who have completed all courses and only have internship remaining can do internships during the interim period.
- Students must prove they have passed all required courses.
