Students who graduate from this program are entitled to receive a bachelor's degree in Finance. In addition, students who graduate from this program can apply to study in graduate programs.
EXAM
In our university, midterm, final, make-up, make-up, placement and single course exams are held.
EVALUATION
The success of the student is determined by evaluating the midterm exams and the level of success in homework, practice, laboratory and similar studies done during the semester and the results of the final exam and make-up exam.
The total weight of the in-semester evaluations (midterm, quiz, homework and practice) of a course is determined by the instructor within the first two weeks of the semester, not less than 30% and not more than 60%.
GRADING
For each course taken by the students, one of the following letter grades is assigned by the instructor as the final course grade. The coefficients of the letter grades and their equivalents over 100 points are shown below.
Number of Merit Grade Multiples Absolute System Equivalent
AA 4.0 93.01-100.00
AB 3.7 83.67-93.00
BA 3.3 76.67-83.66
BB 3.0 69.67-76.66
BC 2.7 60.34-69.66
CB 2.3 56.61-60.33
CC 2.0 53.33-56.60
DC 1.5 49.00-53.32
DD 1.0 45.00-48.99
FF 0.0 44.99 and Below
The following grades are used in other evaluations:
a) DZ grade: It is given to students who do not fulfill their attendance obligations. It is treated like FF grade in grade point average calculation. The student repeats the course in which he/she received a DZ grade.
b) IZ grade: It is given to the student who does not fulfill the course attendance obligations or the conditions of the course applications because he/she is on academic leave and does not participate in the grade point average. The student repeats the course in which he/she received an IZ grade.
c) YT grade: It is given to students who are successful in courses that are not included in the grade point average.
ç) YZ grade: It is given to students who fail the courses that are not included in the grade point average.
d) GM grade: It is given to exams that the student did not take. If a student who receives a GM grade in the semester exams takes the semester make-up exam, the GM grade is converted into a numerical grade. If the student does not take the midterm make-up exam, the GM grade is converted to zero (0). The grade received at the end of the make-up exam is evaluated together with the semester grades as the final exam grade and converted into a success grade according to the student's place in the success grade ranking in the class. The GM grade of the students who do not participate in the make-up exam is accepted as zero (0) and converted into a success grade according to the student's place in the success grade ranking in the class.
e) SD grade: Courses that are removed as a result of course plan adjustments and for which the student is not responsible are given an SD grade and are not included in the average. It is shown on the transcript; however, it is not shown on the transcript.
COURSE REPETITION
Students must first take the courses in the lower semester, except for the courses that they cannot meet the prerequisites (if there is a prerequisite course in the program), which have a grade of FF, YZ and DZ or which they have never taken. If the failed course is not a compulsory course but an elective course, a new elective course can be chosen instead of this elective course.
When the failed courses are taken again, the last grade taken is included in the grade point average calculation. In order to increase the grade point average, students may repeat the courses that they were previously successful in order to increase their grade point average and the last grade taken is included in the grade point average calculation.
ACHIEVEMENT EVALUATION
Students must have a GPA of at least 2.00 in order to be successful. Students who fail to achieve the required GPA are considered unsuccessful. According to the achievement evaluation directive, students are determined as honor and high honor students.
