In our department, 7+1, that is, Vocational Training in Business Course, is carried out. Students who will benefit from Vocational Training in Business should select the commencement date of classes as their start date. The duration of Vocational Training in Business should be determined as 16 weeks. Students wishing to take the relevant course should carefully review the
Matters Students Should Pay Attention to During Vocational Training in Business:
Vocational Training in Business conducted within the academic term is carried out in accordance with the University's academic calendar for 16 (14+2) weeks during the spring semester and in line with the course schedule.
Students are required to attend the business for at least 80% of the Vocational Training in Business course. With the approval of the Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business and the Business Supervisor for Vocational Training in Business, students may use excused absence for up to 20% of the training period. For students who do not complete the specified periods for mandatory attendance, a duration equal to the missing days will be added to the end of the work period upon the proposal of the Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business and approval of the Unit Applied Training Commission.
Upon the conclusion of Vocational Training in Business, the insurance of students continuing their skill training in businesses is processed and paid by the academic unit where the student is registered at the University, in accordance with Social Security Institution provisions.
Within the scope of the Vocational Training in Business course, the tasks and procedures to be performed by the student in the business are defined, their duties and responsibilities are specified, and these students perform the tasks assigned to them according to the work plan prepared in relation to their fields of education, not exceeding 40 hours per week.
Students are obliged to comply with the working, disciplinary, and occupational safety rules of the business where they are conducting their Vocational Training in Business, in addition to the "Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulations."
Students report all excuses and requests related to Vocational Training in Business to the Department Head and/or the Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business.
Students who wish to change the business where they are working within the scope of the Vocational Training in Business course must apply to the relevant academic unit by obtaining the approval of the Business Supervisor for Vocational Training in Business and the Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business, provided that they prove their valid reason. The student's business is changed with the approval of the Unit Applied Training Commission of the relevant academic unit.
Students are obliged to use all kinds of tools and equipment with care. In case of contrary behavior, they are held personally responsible for any accidents and damages that may occur.
In cases of necessity requiring them to leave their Vocational Training in Business locations, students are obliged to obtain permission from the Business Supervisor for Vocational Training in Business.
Those who do not attend Vocational Training in Business without an excuse are considered unsuccessful in the Vocational Training in Business course. Students who fail are required to retake the Vocational Training in Business course and attend the course.
Students cannot participate in union activities during the Vocational Training in Business period.
Students are required to compile their work in the business within the scope of the Vocational Training in Business course into a Vocational Training in Business Student Report and submit it to the Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business.
The following ratios are used in measuring and evaluating the success of the Vocational Training in Business course:
Responsible Faculty Member for Vocational Training in Business evaluation 60%
Business Supervisor for Vocational Training in Business evaluation 40%
In the evaluation of the Vocational Training in Business course, 49 and below is considered as FF, and 50 and above is divided by 25 and converted to the success grade corresponding to the nearest coefficient in Article 22 of the Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulations.
Students who fail the Vocational Training in Business course are required to retake the course and attend it. Students who fail the Vocational Training in Business course are not given the right to take a make-up or single course exam.
There is no obstacle for students who will take Research Project and/or Graduation Study courses to participate in vocational training in business.
Students whose company requests have been approved need to come to our department and have the documents they will receive from us
approved by our department head and their companies. Students should bring a photocopy of their ID and the eligibility document they will obtain from e-government when they come.
