General Information

Our faculty was established under Law No. 3837, dated July 3, 1992, as the Bilecik Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, affiliated with Dumlupınar University. Under Law No. 5662, dated May 29, 2007, it was reorganized as the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (hereafter referred to as the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences) and affiliated with Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University (hereafter referred to as BŞEÜ). Our faculty offers education in the departments of Business Administration, Economics, Political Science and Public Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, and International Relations.

Our Department of Business Administration began accepting undergraduate students in 1993 and graduated its first students in 1997. Between that date and May 2025, approximately 4,000 students graduated, and our department currently has 330 active students. Our department boasts a diverse academic staff of experts, including 6 professors, 3 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, 2 research assistants, and 1 lecturer. The Department of Business Administration has five major fields: Management and Organization, Production Management and Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Commercial Law, and Quantitative Methods. Our departmental curriculum includes courses from these majors, as well as electives offered by other departments within our faculty. In addition to the core compulsory courses in our curriculum, students can choose to take these electives at their own discretion, allowing them to chart their own coursework, tailored to their career paths in the private sector, public sector, and non-governmental organizations. Furthermore, through the Erasmus+ student exchange program, which encompasses many European countries, our students have the opportunity to complete a portion of their studies at other universities. This allows them to gain exposure to different countries and university cultures, fostering their professional development.

Career Opportunities

Our department offers graduates a diverse range of career options, providing them with the opportunity to pursue a variety of professional paths. Graduates in Business Administration can pursue careers as middle and senior managers, auditors, foreign trade officers, human resources specialists, quality specialists, production planners, finance directors, brand ambassadors, marketing managers, management and organisation officers, and other roles in the private sector. Alternatively, they may opt to establish their own businesses, pursuing a career in entrepreneurship. Graduates of our department can be employed in a number of public sector roles, including Evaluation Expert, Assistant Revenue Expert, Administrative Judge, District Governor, Assistant Financial Services Expert, member of the Ministry of Finance Inspection Board, Assistant Finance Inspectorate, PTT Assistant Inspectorate, Court of Accounts Auditor, TBMM Assistant Expert, Assistant Tax Inspector, Assistant Tax Inspector, Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution Assistant Inspector and many other administrative positions. Moreover, our graduates can leverage their expertise in a research capacity within a number of scientific institutions, potentially pursuing a career in academia.
