On November 20–21, 2025, STAR (Social and Human Basic Sciences Accreditation and Rating Association), which aims to strengthen quality standards in higher education, conducted a comprehensive accreditation assessment of our Business Administration department. During the two-day visit, team leader Prof. Dr. Erginbay UĞURLU and department assessor Prof. Dr. Sinan AYTEKİN thoroughly examined our department's educational structure, academic competencies, physical infrastructure, student support mechanisms, and quality assurance processes within the framework of national and international standards.
The accreditation assessment is a strategic step that further strengthens our department's compliance with quality standards. This process concretely demonstrates our commitment to continuously improving the educational experience we offer our students. We thank all our academic staff, administrative staff, and student representatives who contributed to the assessment.
Our international students enrolled in the Department of Business Administration gathered on November 13, 2025, to discuss plans for the upcoming semester. Our Department's International Student Advisor, Dr. Salih Mutlu, and our faculty member, Prof. Dr. Muammer Sarıkaya, also attended the meeting as guests.
The Department of Business Administration held its 2025-2026 Fall semester meeting with the Advisory Board online on November 17, 2025. At the meeting, feedback was received on our academic and accreditation processes.
The information meeting about Education Abroad and Internship opportunities, coordinated by our department's Erasmus Coordinator, was held on November 12, 2025. We would like to thank Dr. Rasim Şimşek and Dr. Salih Mutlu, and BŞEÜ International Relations Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Görkem Altınörs, for their presentations and efforts.
Our department's Double Major and Minor Committee held an informational meeting on November 11, 2025, regarding Double Major and Minor opportunities for our students. We would like to thank Dr. Zeynep Deniz Altınsoy and Dr. Saniye Haydaroğlu for their presentations.
An informational meeting on graduate education was held in our department on November 12, 2025, with İbrahim Güneş from the BŞEU Graduate Education Institute as the speaker. The event, which drew great interest from our students, answered all our questions about the graduate program. We thank İbrahim Güneş for his efforts.
Our first-year students gathered to read business books as part of the Introduction to Business course, led by Prof. Dr. Muammer Sarıkaya, to raise awareness of the importance of books in education and the importance of reading habits. We congratulate our students on their awareness-raising efforts.
Our department visited the Bilecik Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (SMMMO) with our faculty members from the Department of Accounting and Finance. We would like to thank SMMMO President Mustafa Öztürk and his management for their hospitality and the useful discussions we had regarding cooperation between our department and the Chamber's activities. We wish them every success.
