As the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University, we came together with students at Refik Arslan Öztürk Science High School on Thursday, February 12, 2026, within the scope of the Academy–High School Meetings-22 event.

In the event conducted by our Department Chair, Prof. Dr. Uğur Yüzgeç, an introduction to Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University and the Department of Computer Engineering was presented. Within the scope of the program, topics such as:

• Introduction of Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University

• Computer and informatics applications in daily life

• Popular computer and informatics technology topics (deep learning, artificial intelligence, big data)

• Future career opportunities in the field of computers and informatics

• The importance of Computer Engineering in the university selection process were addressed.

During the event, which attracted great interest from the students, application examples of Computer Engineering in many fields ranging from education to health, and from industry to the defense industry were shared, and the students' questions were answered.

Our department will continue its social contribution activities aimed at strengthening university–high school collaboration and raising awareness among young people in the fields of engineering and technology in the coming period.
