As part of the Orientation and Welcome Program, a Bozüyük-Söğüt-Bilecik trip was organized for our first-year students. The trip was accompanied by our Dean and Head of the Tourism Guidance Department, Prof. Dr. Mehpare Tokay Argan, Dr. Lecturer Dilek Şen from the Tourism Guidance Department, Research Assistant Rıdvan Şahin, and Dr. Lecturer Samet Karahan from the Tourism Management Department.

The first stop was the newly opened Bozüyük War of Independence and Inönü Victories Memorial House. This was followed by visits to Bozüyük City Museum, the First Inönü Martyrdom, and the Metristepe Victory Monument. Upon arrival in Söğüt, our students were welcomed by Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Zeytin, Director of Söğüt Vocational School. After lunch, refreshments prepared by Lecturer Cevdet Sökmen and Culinary Department students were served. Guided by Lecturer Hakan Karşıyaka, students toured Kuyulu Mosque, Hamidiye Complex, and the Tomb of Ertuğrul Gazi in Söğüt.

The tour continued to our University’s Central Gülümbe Campus, where students were warmly welcomed and hosted by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yurdakul in his office. The campus was introduced to the students, concluding the visit.

A survey was conducted to assess the outcomes of the tour, and the Trip Outcome Report was submitted to the dean’s office.
