Our 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held at our University Stadium with an enthusiastic program.

The ceremony held on Friday, July 5th was attended by Bilecik Deputy Governor Mr. Akgün Corav, Bilecik Deputy Yaşar Tüzün, Gendarmerie Training Commander Brigadier General Uğur Ertekin, Mayor Melek Mızrak Subaşı and our academic and administrative staff.

The ceremony, which also saw great participation from families, began with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem after the students took their places in the area.

The ceremony continued with the speech of the university's top student on behalf of our graduating students, a folk dance show, the presentation of certificates to students who were ranked in our faculties and vocational schools, and the nailing of names to the graduate log.

Speaking on behalf of our graduates, our top undergraduate graduate Gülnur Yıldız said, “I am very excited and proud to make this speech today on behalf of the graduates. We are ending the journey we embarked on five years ago as freshmen students by graduating here today. We are successfully completing the tiring midterms, finals, homework and presentation preparations and leaving them behind. Since education is an activity that continues throughout one’s life, it would not be right to say that our education life is over.”

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Kaplancıklı Addressed Families

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Asım Kaplancıklı started his speech at the 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony by stating that he is on the side of the oppressed who are oppressed in various geographies of the world, especially Palestine and East Turkestan… and against the oppressors who oppress them. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Kaplancıklı, who emphasized that he was very honored and happy to address our students as part of this special ceremony, also addressed the families of our students with the following words.

“Be proud of your children. They are graduating from our University, which bears the name of Şeyh Edebali, who guided us with the advice of “Know knowledge, know wisdom, know words”; as individuals who are the guarantee of the bright future of our country, equipped with scientific knowledge, have high ethical and moral values, and who know knowledge, wisdom and words.

You have been by the side and support of your children throughout their educational lives. Now, we are all sharing in this happiness of your children.”

The graduation ceremony ended with the graduates throwing their caps into the air with enthusiasm.
