The 2nd Science Festival event, which our University organized for the second time this year on October 26-27, was held with the intense participation of our students. The opening speech of the “2nd Bilecik Science Festival” was made by our Rector Prof. Dr. Şükrü Beydemir and was attended by Bilecik Governor Şefik Aygöl, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Oruç Baba İnan, President of the Turkish Space Agency Yusuf Kıraç, Deputy Mayor of Bilecik Melek Mızrak Subaşı, provincial and district protocol, company officials from our province’s industry, our students and citizens.

The program, which started with protocol speeches and presentation of plaques to sponsor companies at our Central Campus, continued with the cutting of the opening ribbon and visits to the stands.

Participants spent time in the field with the TÜBİTAK sky observation event, gendarmerie general command shows, AFAD earthquake simulation truck, Ethnospor, Planetarium shows, and mobile library events. The Turkish Aeronautical Association's Paramotor (Motorized Paragliding) and Hot Air Balloon shows that continued throughout the day were also watched with interest by the participants.

The activities and studies of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, Civil Engineering Department and Bioengineering Department were introduced at the Engineering Faculty stands.
