The department admits students based on MF4 scores from the Central Placement System (LYS) administered by ÖSYM. Furthermore, applicants for Industrial Product Design are required to have:

Superior general capabilities,
The capacity to identify spatial relationships among shapes in three dimensions.
The ability to convert designs and two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional objects.
The ability to conceptualize and illustrate objects
Creativity, a research-driven approach, and openness to innovation,
An interest in both Fine Arts and Engineering.
