Our University Student Council is determined every two years according to Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University Student Council Directive. Student Council election period will start on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. You can access the 2022-2023 Academic Year Student Council Election Calendar from the attached file. Candidates must personally apply to the Dean’s Office or Directorates, where they are registered, together with the Student Representative Application Form and its annexes, between 18-26 October 2022 for the program student representative. Student Certificate, Transcript, Judicial Registry Record and Document Not Being a Political Party Member requested in the annexes of the application form can be obtained via e-government, and the Document Regarding Not Receiving Disciplinary Penalty can be obtained from the registered academic unit. The Program Student Representative is elected by the students of each program at the faculties or vocational schools affiliated to our University from among themselves, with the majority of those who participated in the election, for two years, for once. In order for the election to be held for the program student representatives, at least 60% of the students enrolled in the program in the first round elections, including the secondary school students, must participate in the election. If there is not enough participation in the first round, at least 50% of them must participate in the elections in the second round. If sufficient participation is not achieved in the first two rounds, sufficient participation is not required in the third round. The Faculty/Vocational School Student Representative will be elected by the Program Student Representatives on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from among themselves, with the majority of the voters, for two years. The student representative of the existing program in a faculty/vocational school with only one program acts as the representative of the said faculty/vocational school. The 2022 Student Council Presidency will be assumed by the Science Faculty Student Representative for two years, according to the alphabetical order of the faculties/schools of our University. Student Council General Assembly; It consists of Faculty, Vocational School Student Representatives and Program Representatives of the University and is the highest decision-making body in the Student Council. In the Student Council General Assembly, the members of the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board will be elected on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 with the absolute majority of the attendees. These elections are held by secret ballot and open counting. Decisions other than these are taken by the absolute majority of the attendees and by open voting.
